If you have ever wondered what your horse or pony talks about when you are not around, and you know your Appaloosa from your Andalusian, then this book is for you! Over 100 hilarious cartoons featuring horses and ponies with their views on everything from rugs to hay bags, grooming to jumping and lots more. All straight from the horse’s mouth!
This superbly funny paperback was developed from looking at the equestrian world from the view point of the horses and ponies – they stand upright and they talk freely whilst their human counterparts are not about. Cartoons from the Horse’s Mouth is the result of what happens when perfectly good equine science and experience is interpreted by a cartoonist with a great sense of humour.
Spencer Hill is a freelance cartoonist and illustrator producing comic strips, caricatures, cartoons and calendars for a wide range of clients. He was the lead illustrator on John Bryne’s Need to Know Cartooning for HarperCollins and produced over 100 weekly cartoon strips for Fone magazine over two years as their resident cartoonist. He is the digital illustration tutor at the London Art College and a previously illustrated title includes Don’t Tell Me Flying is the Safest Way to Travel.
Vicky Oakey has a masters degree in Equine Science, is passionate for all things equine and never stops talking about horses!

'Cartoonist Spencer Hill and equine enthusiast Vicky Oakey have managed to put the humour back in horses. Their new book 'Cartoons from the horse's mouth' features over 100 cartoons, giving a take on what our horses and ponies are likely to be discussing in our absence. And the equines in this book appear to have forthright views on everything from poo-picking, brood mares and Pony Club to poll guards, Iberians and dressage divas'. Horse & Hound
